The current business climate is one of frugality and maximization of value. This sentiment coincides with, and to some extent buoys, the rush of American and European businesses to outsource more services across national borders to countries such as India, China, and Russia. The primary motivation: exploitation of low labor rates. The outsourcing movement has grown as more white collar and technology jobs are able to be moved offshore due to high numbers of college graduates overseas, and advances in technology that make “virtual” extensions to the enterprise very seamless.
